The events happening around the world are so unprecedented we can’t ignore them. Our vision here at Infinitemoon has always been to bring rest and comfort through sleep products but we also hope to bring rest and comfort to those we rub shoulders with at our facility and in our local community. We have been burdened with the global pandemic and the impact it has had on our world, health and economy. Most recently we have been heartbroken with the social injustice and race issues that have once more surfaced in our country. We want to stand up for those who have been treated unjustly. We want to learn from people of color so that we can be a better advocate for change and justice. We don’t have many answers or claim to have much wisdom in this area. Lately we have been noodling on these three powerful words: Love Serve Grow and how these values can have a deep impact on how we live and interact with others.
Love
Love in its purist form is unselfish, unconditional, deep and profound. Yet we hear things like, I love pizza. She loves the beach. I love the smell of flowers in the spring. I will love you till I die. Or I love my EverPillow. The word love is thrown around so carelessly in our culture. Let’s pause a moment to think about what love is and how love can really impact our community. Our favorite definition of love is often read at weddings:
Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always “me first,”
Doesn’t fly off the handle,
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn’t revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.
I Corinthians 13:4-7 (msg)

We can’t add much to that picture of love. So we, Infinitemoon, are going to ask ourselves and those around us….How are we loving like this? We know, believe and trust that if we, the human race, lock arms and start following this type of love we will begin to see systemic and lasting change that will bring about human dignity, value and worth, that isn’t about skin color, background or social and economic class. Join with us in LOVE!
Serve
Love, Serve, Grow. Serve is all about the other. We find that too often we are self-serving or serving only those we like, who look like ourselves, who reciprocate back and who act like us. To serve is all about someone else. A serving person, company or cause is one who exists to help those around them. So what can we do at Infinitemoon? How can we serve you, those in our facility (most of whom have struggled with a former felony, addiction or homelessness) and those in our community. Our facility is in Aurora, Colorado, one of the most diverse communities in Colorado. We have to start being honest with ourselves….Are we really serving those around us? What are the next steps to being better servants? Are you ready to SERVE?

Grow
This is the easiest word in Love Serve Grow. We know that if….we love deeply and serve those around us we will Grow. Loving and Serving are the nutrients needed for healthy growth. We are so confident that as individuals, a company or one that has an impact on a community the key to growth is loving and serving others wholeheartedly. We don’t ever want to be known for using others, stepping over those who are not like us or those who are in need. Growth can only happen if we love and serve everyone!
We couldn’t be more excited for the growth of those who, like us, are willing to Love and Serve those who need help, who have been treated wrongly and those who have been marginalized and are not like us. This growth will change our world going forward. We don’t ever want to go back to “normal.” We are excited for a new future where everyone, in our facility, community, country and world will stand for Love Serve Grow.
